References at the end of each chapter have been taken from publications in different reputed journals, recent proceedings of National and International conferences and recent web sites along with IREDA and TERI reports
D. Mukherjee graduated in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Bengal Engineering College and obtained Master degree in Electron Devices and Microwave Engineering from Jadavpur University. Later, he obtained Ph.D. degree from Jadavpur University after working consistently in the area of Photovoltaic Modules and Hybrid Energy Systems. He has been teaching at the Under Graduate and Post Graduate level in the department of Electronics and Telecommunication of B.E. College (Deemed University) since 1982. His principal research interest centers around the design, performance and economic analysis relating to PV/Hybrid and Integrated Energy Systems
He has published several papers in his field of specialization. He has acted as the principal coordinator of several research projects financed by U.G.C., A.I.C.T.E., and D.S.T. and also successfully organized several training programmes on Renewable Energy Systems, Optical Communication Systems and Net Working. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering of Bengal Engineering College (Deemed University)."
